Karen Ishibashi Taetzsch was born in São Paulo and raised in a small town with a strong Japanese influence. She began her English classes when she was 10 and at the age of 16, went to the US to improve her English.

The adaptation in the American culture regarding responsibility, punctuality and integrity were easy because of her Japanese background. She decided to stay longer to study Business Administration with concentration in International Business.

She had a company that developed projects selling awards and promotional products for multinationals such as Panasonic, Johnson & Johnson, Ford…some of the recipients of awards from her company were Hillary Clinton, Nelson Mandela…

After 16 years in the US she went to live in India for almost two years to study the Philosophy of Yoga, she lived in an Ashram.

She is back in Brazil. She noticed a great demand, from her English students, to prepare them for job interviews, presentations and conferences; then, she began to do consultancy work for executives, doctors and other professionals. She uses yoga techniques to aid her clients with self-knowledge and in how to deal with stress before job interviews or presentations.

With the help of technology, Karen has online clients and students all over Brazil and intends to expand to other countries too, “the sky is the limit!”

“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.”
